Detailed description

International Links is a municipal, 18-hole golf course located in Miami, Florida, only 3 minutes from the entrance to Miami International Airport.

International Links first opened for play in 1961. Dick Wilson designed the course.

International Links Miami, Melreese is demanding as well as fair. In 1996-1997, it underwent a $3.9 million renovation. Golf course architect Charles Mahannah renovated the course.

The renovated course has five lakes, nine waste bunkers, 97 sand bunkers, and a strategically and interestingly placed cypress wetland. The rolling, northern-style fairways are uniquely designed. The undulating greens average 6500 square feet and are planted with certified Tiftdwarf grass and designed to USGA specifications.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,173 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,534 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 17, a par-5 that plays 661 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays 176 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 4, a 608-yard par-5 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at International Links Golf Course is # 15, a 180-yard par-3.

CLOSED March 2023.

The course will be developed into Miami Freedom Park, including a 25,000-seat soccer stadium, at least 750 hotel rooms, a 31.4-acre retail area, an office park with hundreds of thousands of square feet of space, and a 58-acre public park.
