Kensington Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1993. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.
This Scottish links-style course features many water hazards but only a few trees coming into play on most holes. The course was built on rolling terrain, and large mounds are used to define the layout of the individual holes. The greens are fairly large, undulating, and fast, including many that are elevated and multi-tiered. The signature hole is #8, a 195-yard, par 3, known as a "Redan hole," requiring a tee shot over water to an elevated and sloped green.
