California Golf Club first opened for play in 1980. The course was designed by Charles Mahannah.
California Golf Club winds through immaculately detailed fairways landscaped by the natural beauty of Florida foliage, stately palm trees, sun-starched sand, and the purest sapphire waters. Holes #16, 17 and 18 encircle a 50-acre water hazard and pose a challenge.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,670 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,675 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 570 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 150 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 1, a 560 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at California Golf Club is # 11, a 180 yard par-3.
