I have played Metrowest for years and the current condition under the new management company is the best it has ever been. The course is beautifully maintained and the real treat are the new greens that have been put in recently. On this day, the pro said they were running at 11 on the stamp. This is usually an exaggeration when a stamp reading is given but in this case with almost no humidity and a light breeze it was an understatement. These were the fastest and truest greens I have played in the Orlando area with the exception of of Lake Nona and Bay Hill at tournament time. While I am a resident of Orlando, were I visiting the area it would be a course I would recommend to visitors.
To be fair, they had aerated the greens about 10 days before we played. Given more time to heal, I think that one could face some rather challenging putts.
The course layout itself didn't present many hazards that were reasonably in play. Usually Florida golf courses have more much water on either side than this course did in its entirety.
