Halifax Plantation is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Ormond Beach, Florida.
Halifax Plantation first opened for play in 1991. The course was designed by Bill Amick.
This narrow course features both a defined cut of rough and tree lines bordering all its fairways. The terrain is fairly flat, but there is some mounding that can affect your lies. The large greens are undulating and have many severe breaks.
The shady fairways are bordered by huge sprawling oaks and towering pines, nestled in the shadows of the adjacent Bulow and Tomoka State Parks. The course features five elevated tee boxes and fast, contoured, highly manicured greens adequately protected by traps.
Water does not come into play until the back nine, and then only on two holes. #9 is a par-5 dogleg right requiring a tee shot and second shot to the right to left sloping green protected by three sand filled bunkers. The signature hole is #15, a 350-yard, par 4, requiring both an accurate tee and approach shots because the fairway and green are well bunkered.
The course measures 7,101 yards from the tips with a par of 72. The course rating is 74.1 with a 128 slope rating.
