Detailed description

Town of Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Club is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Palm Beach, Florida.

Town of Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Club first opened for play in 1961. The course was designed by Dick Wilson and his apprentice Joe Lee. The course was privately owned until 1973 when the Town of Palm Beach purchased it for five million dollars. In 2009, Hall of Fame golfer Raymond Floyd renovated and redesigned the course.

The Palm Beach Par 3 Course is situated right along the beach, offering stunning views of the Atlantic and the Intracoastal Waterway. The tropical setting is perfect for a round. Initially opened in 1961, the golf course underwent a significant redesign in 2009 headed by Hall of Fame golfer Ray Floyd to make it more challenging and improve its playability.

The Palm Beach Par 3 Course is located adjacent to the beach, with the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway on each side. The tropical setting is a perfect backdrop for a round of golf.

The 2009 renovated course has drought and saltwater-resistant Paspalum turf and new carefully sculpted contours and elevations. The layout is a diverse mix of challenging holes and player-friendly features, offering something for all skill levels. Even before the redesign, the golf course had a reputation for being one of the best par-3 courses in the country, and it only got better. Five holes border on the ocean and several on the Waterway. The wind is always a factor, and there are plenty of bunkers.

The golf course plays to a maximum 18 hole distance of 2,572 yards at its longest and offers three sets of tees. All holes are par-3s for a total par of 54. Think of the course as an upscale 18 hole championship course minus the "normal" drive on each hole.
