The Fox Club, previously named Cobblestone Country Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Palm City, Florida. The course opened for public play beginning in late 2019.
The golf course first opened for play in 1989. The course was designed by Roy Case.
In the summer of 2004, the course was purchased by a group of private investors who had it renovated. That same year British Open Champion Darren Clarke and Walker Cup member Eoghan O’Connell redesigned the course; the changes included the addition of new tee boxes, Tift Eagle greens, lengthening the course by 600 yards, and Donald Ross style bunkers.
The renovation, along with the elevated greens, pine tree-lined fairways, and Donald Ross like deep bunkers, gives The Fox Club a layout unique to the area.
Well-conditioned greens, interesting bunkering, lots of forced carries, and lengthy drives from greens to tees are trademarks of The Fox Club layout, and its clubhouse is very much that of an established club.
#18 is the most memorable, it's 586-yard par-5 that hooks around a lake that seems to go on and on.
