Rockledge Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Rockledge, Florida.
Founded in 1887, the City of Rockledge is the oldest incorporated municipality in Brevard County. The first golf course in the area was Rockledge Country Club. Originally named The Golf Club, its history began in the boom times of the 1920s. Throughout the years, Rockledge Country Club has hosted a round or two of golf to numerous visitors, including former President and Mrs. Warren Harding, who played golf at the club during their stay in Rockledge during the 1920s.
Throughout the years, the club changed hands, changed locations, expanded and took on numerous names, including Poinsett Country Club, Rockledge Golf and Country Club, Cocoa/Rockledge Country Club, and The Country Club of Brevard. With each improvement, change in ownership and expansion, what is now known as Rockledge Country Club has etched its way into the landscape of local history.
The course as we know it today first opened for play in 1954. Rockledge plays to 6,436 yards from the back tees. Par for the course is 71. The course rating is 71.1 and the slope rating is 126.
