Bay Pointe Golf Course is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Seminole, Florida.
Bay Pointe Golf Course first opened for play in 1968
The course was built on rolling hills, so you can expect many uneven lies on the open fairways. A remarkable feature is that over 300 parrots make this course their habitat.
Bay Pointe is an 18-hole, par-61 tree-lined course that will test your skill with seven par-4 and 11 par-3 holes. Bay Pointe plays to a maximum distance of 3,167 yards.
The course offers great views - you can see the Gulf of Mexico from the 15th fairway.
The course closed in 2016.
After closing, the course fell into deep disrepair, with lots of overgrown plants and several buildings now boarded up. The county deemed it not up to code and has placed "No Trespassing" signs up to deter people from trespassing on the property.
Pinellas County purchased the 40-acre property in early 2012 for a reported $1.2 million. They plan to turn it the property into a regional stormwater park.
