River Pointe Golf Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Albany, Georgia.
River Pointe Golf Course was designed and built in 1995 by golf course architect Mike Young. The course features strategically bunkered greens, surprising fairways and prevalent water hazards. The course has water on 14 of the 18 holes.
The front nine is a traditional course and the back nine is built around wetlands with accurate shots being a premium.
River Pointe has Dwarf Grass on the greens and Bermuda Grass on the fairways. Wildlife is plentiful, during a round of golf you are likely to see deer, turkey, fox, geese, otter and many types of birds.
The signature hole is the Par 5, #14 measuring 610 yards with water down the left side and a pond in front of the green. Once the water has been cleared, the fun begins on this sloped green running from back to front. Ball position on the green will be rewarded with chance of birdie or just trying to two putt for that par which can be hard to make. Oh, if it were only so easy!
