Griffin Bell Golf Course, previously a private course named Americus Country Club, is a public 18-hole golf course located in Americus, GA. Griffin Bell Golf Course is owned and operated by Georgia Southwestern State University and offers open play to all golfers.
The course first opened for play in 1947.
This entire course is lined with pine and pecan trees. Water hazards come into play on many holes. The greens are very small and fast. The course boasts of having their own version of Augusta National's, "Amen Corner," on holes #13, #14, and #15.
