Dalton Golf & Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Dalton, Georgia.
The Dalton Golf & Country Club dates to 1915. The current propert was purchased in 1924 and began as a 9-hole course. The course was expanded to 18-holes in 1965 designed by the course pro, Jim Stance and course superintendant Lew Vinyard. With the purcase of an additional 64 acres, the club hired Kirby Griffith and Gary Player to design a new championship 18 hole course on the existing and newly purcased acerage. The newly expanded 18 hole Player/Griffith design opened in 1974.
