Green Acres Golf Course

Green Acres Golf Course, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Dexter, Georgia.

The Green Acres Golf course first opened for play in 1969 as a nine hole course. Green Acres was established in 1968 by local golfers who wanted to have a golf course close to their home. The second 9-holes were added in 1997.

Green Acres is layed out among 150 acres of beautiful tall Georgia pine and live oak trees. The golf course was designed to provide a real challenge to the duffer as well as to the seasoned golfer.

Green Acres Golf Course has rolling hills with undulating fairways. The greens of all sizes and shapes are tucked in and surrounded by trees and guarded by bunkers. Three ponds add to the beauty and challenge.

Total yardage at Green Acres is 6,454 from the gold tees and down to 4,902 from the red tees. Par for the course is 72 . From the back tees, the course rating is 71.1 and the slope rating is 127. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 503 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 148 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 5, a 402-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. However, most people will tell you that the most difficult hole on the course, and quite possibly in all of Laurens County, is #16, a 422-yard, par 4, featuring two sand bunkers in front of the green and another flanking the rear. The easiest hole is # 9, a 150 yard par-3.
