Club at McLemore, Highlands Course, previously named Canyon Ridge Golf Club, is a private 18-hole golf course locate in the northwest corner of Georgia in the town of Rising Fawn, Georgia, 30 minutes south of Chattanooga on Lookout Mountain. Club at McLemore, Highlands Course, is a gated resort community.
The Canyon Ridge Golf Course opened for play in 2005. The course was designed by Richard G. Robbins.
The name change and course redesign happened in 2019. The course architects in 2019 were Rees Jones and Bill Bergin.
The Highlands Course is routed through mountain meadows, streams and natural rock outcroppings with elevated tees and greens, with each hole separate and unique. The course occupies the back of Lookout Mountain, with a base elevation of 2,200 feet above sea level, and winds its way through dense woods, rocky outcrop, native stream beds and the occasional open meadow.
The property also includes a six-hole short course (called “The Cairn”) and a full-length driving range.
