This facility is a private golf school owned and operated by Charles Sorrell, Georgia's first PGA Certified Master Professional. The three holes on the course enable Sorrell to teach any shot that a golfer might encounter on a course. Three-day golf schools are offered throughout the year and cover the basic fundamentals, including short game, and full swing. Private instruction is also available for players of every skill level, from beginner to tour player. This facility is unique, in that it allows the student to learn on a real course, at their own pace. The private nature of the facility ensures that the student is free from all distractions, allowing for total relaxation and full concentration. Swings are videotaped from four camera angles, and all instruction is personally delivered by Sorrell.
The co-located indoor facility ensures quality instruction regardless of weather conditions.
TCharlie credits much of the facilities success to the notoriety he gaines as one of the Golf Channel's golf tips instructor,
The course closed, not for a lack of business, but rather because of a "to good to refuse" offer to buy the 27 acres. The purchase was made by a man who bought the land as an anniversary gift for his wife. The land was re-purposed as an equestrian facility / farm. As a side not, the sand bunkers were retained. Apparently the horses love to roll in the sand.
