Moanalua Golf Club, is a Semi-Private, 9 hole golf course located in Honollulu, Hawaii.
The golf course at Moanalua Golf Club first opened for play in 1898. The course was designed by Scottish designer Donald MacIntyre.
The original design consisted of eighteen holes using the slopes of Moanalua Valley and the Moanalua Stream to create unique challenges. Over 100 years ago, in 1908 Moanalua Golf Club was reduced to its current nine hole layout. Today’s golfer will find many challenges as they maneuver their way around Moanalua Golf Clubs difficult nine holes. Although there are no sand bunkers on the entire course, there are out of bounds on every hole, brisk trade winds and a stream that meanders through the course. Moanalua Golf Club will provide a tough yet fair test to golfers of all skill levels. Although short in yardage Moanalua Golf Club places a premium on straight tee shots and very accurate iron play as the greens that average only three thousand square feet.
