Hardin County Golf Club is a Public 9 hole golf course located in Cave in Rock, Illinois.
The course first opened for play in 1961. The course looks easy, but in reality it is quite a challenge. The tree-lined fairways are open, and the greens are small and fast. There is a pond that comes into play during the rainy season, but drains during the summer.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees the course plays to 2657 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 2063 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 4, a par-5 that plays to 473 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 146 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 396 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 7, a 282 yard par-4.
Aaron and Ida Bishop purchased the Hardin County Golf Course in January of 2013 and have embarked on making steady improvements.
