The course was designed by H. J. Tweedie. Exmoor Golf Course first opened for play in 1896. Over the years the course has been rennovated / redesigned by Donald Ross and Ron Prichard.

This old traditional course has extremely fast and severely-sloped greens. Water hazards come into play on a few holes, and numerous mature trees can affect your shots.
