Tam O' Shanter Golf Course is a Public, 9 hole golf course in Niles, Illinois, is scenically located at the north branch of the Chicago River.

The course first opened for play in 1925. The course was designed by Charles Douglas Wagstaff.

Tam O'Shanter Golf Course is a Public Golf Course owned and operated by the Niles Park District. It is open 7 days a week, April to December, weather permitting.

Tam O Shanter traces its roots back to the Tam O' Shanter Country Club (owned by the legendary George S. May,May is listed as one of the 100 most influential persons to the game of golf, for being the first to broadcast, nationwide and live, a PGA Tour tournament), which was host to many early Golf championships including the First Nationally televised Golf Tournament in 1953. Past players included Sam Snead, Arnold Palmer, Patty Berg, Babe Zaharias, Lew Worsham and Chandler Harper.

The course was purchased by the Park District in 1973 and subsequently reconfigured and reduced to nine holes.

This course has narrow, tree-lined fairways. Sand bunkers and water hazards come into play throughout the course. The terrain is rolling and there is enough variety to challenge any skill level. The Tam O' Shanter Golf Course plays to a 9-hole par-33 and measures 2,583 yards from the back tees. The course rating is 32.2 with a slope rating of 107.
