Big Pine Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located four miles north of Attica, Indiana.
Big Pine Golf Course first opened for play in 1968. The course was designed by Robert Beard.
This is a rural course built over 140 acres of farmland. The variety of terrain will challenge even the most advanced golfer. Although the fairways are wide offering generous landing areas, trees and water hazards come into play providing challenge balance. There are scenic views from many parts of the course of the rolling countryside. Farms and fields occupy the outlying areas and deer are frequent visitors.
Blue tees: par-72, 6,536 yards
Red tees: par-72, 5,920 yards
The course closed in 2009.
"People are cutting back because of the uncertain economy and a leisure sport like golfing can be expensive. There's a lot of competition for golfers in the area," said Big Pine owner Justin Barker, explaining why the course was being auctioned.
