Detailed description

Curtis Creek Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located close to I-65, in Rensselaer Indiana, half way between Indianapolis and Chicago.

Curtis Creek first opened for play in 1924 as a nine hole course, expanded to 18 holes in 1930. The course was designed by Leonard Macomber. This new nine was played only for one year when the Club was forced to abandon it due to the business depression. The nine was reopened in 1954 and the full 18 holes have been in continuous play since then.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,526 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5040 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 13, a par-5 that plays to 565 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 165 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 8, a 522 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 12, a 509 yard par-5.

Curtis Creek Country Club has tree lined ryegrass fairways and great greens. Curtis Creek, a never failing stream, runs through the tract and comes in play on six holes..The golf course requires a wide variety of golf shots. Curtis Creek is a family-oriented, private Country Club with a 300-member membership limit.
