Detailed description

Maxwelton Golf Club is a Semi-Private 18 hole golf course located in Syracuse, between the cities of South Bend and Fort Wayne in Indiana.

Maxwelton Golf Club first opened for play in 1930. The course was designed by William Langford.

This hilly course has mounds, sand bunkers and tree-lined fairways. The well-bunkered greens are medium-sized and undulating, and water hazards come into play on three holes.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,490 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,877 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 522 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 145 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 5, a 395 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The signature hole is #5, a 395-yard, par 4, requiring shots past a pond on the left of the fairway to a green guarded by bunkers on the right. The easiest hole at Maxwelton Golf Club is # 13, a 150 yard par-3.
