Cedar Crest Country Club
Cedar Crest Country Club first opened for play in 1962. Located amid the rolling farmlands of southeast Iowa, Cedarcrest Golf & Country Club stands as testimony to the "can-do" spirit exemplified by the citizens of Columbus Junction. The initial construction of Cedrcrest began in the early 1960's with excavation, green development and planting being largely performed by community volunteers. Local farmers, businesses, electricians and plumbers supplied their talent and equipment towards course development and clubhouse erection. Once a family-owned farm, many of the hardwood trees and majestic native pines that provided shade and comfort in bygone years continue to grace the grounds of Cedarcrest
This course was built on rolling terrain and features tree-lined fairways. In addition, a creek comes into play on most holes.
Par for the course is 35. From the back tees the course plays to 2,630 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 2,320 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 4, a par-5 that plays to 430 yards. The shortest hole at Cedar Crest Country Club is # 912, a par-3 that plays to 1449 yards from the back tees.
