Willow Ridge Golf Course

Willow Ridge Golf Course, previously named American Legion Golf & Country Club, is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

American Legion Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1956. The course was designed by Chick Adams.

In 2007,  Don and Dianne Decker purchased the American Legion Post 130 Golf Course. Renovations started immediately. Nearby Iowa Central Community College partnered with the Decker family to provide students a “hands-on” learning facility for multiple collegiate programs including Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, and Turfgrass Management.  In January of 2011, The Deckers donated Willow Ridge Golf Course and Restaurant to Iowa Central Community College who now own and manage the facility.

Willow Ridge Golf Course is a 9 hole, 3,236 yard Par 37 golf course The course starts with a beautiful elevated tee box and ends with a picturesque Par 3 hitting over a small pond and hitting on to a newly renovated greens.

Many renovations and projects have been completed over the last few years, including new greens on holes 2 and 9, 4 new bunkers, new grass on the tee boxes, and many small beautification projects including retaining walls and plants and trees.
