Hunters Ridge Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in a residential golf community in Marion, Iowa.
Hunters Ridge Golf Course first opened for play in 1997. The course was designed by Bob Lohmann.
The front nine winds through the development with generous landing areas and accessible greens. The back nine is narrow with many ponds and wetlands entering the field of play. Because of a few forced carries and risk/reward shots, the back nine is sure to challenge you regardless of your skill level.
There are fifty-four bunkers, nine out of eighteen holes have water hazards, and some of the fairways are dogleg configurations. Locals consider the back nine holes to be among the best in the state.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,007 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,090 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 17, a par-5 that plays to 613 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 166 yards from the back tees
Watch out for # 17, a 613 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. This hole calls for a 250-yard tee shot over a ridge to the beginning of the fairway. The easiest hole is # 8, a 170 yard par-3.
