Buffalo Dunes Golf Course first opened for play in 1975. The course was designed by Frank Hummel.

Owned and operated by the City of Garden City, Buffalo Dunes is professionally managed and maintained to ensure your round is both challenging and rewarding.

This Scottish links-style course has a deep native-grass rough lining all its fairways. The fairways are well manicured, and the greens are medium-sized. Water hazards (three ponds) come into play on some holes. The course plays to a maximum of 6,767 yards and the course par is 72. The course rating is 72.5 and the slope rating is 124.

In 1989, Buffalo Dunes was selected by Golf Magazine as one of the "Top 50 Best Bangs for the Buck" in public golf, Buffalo Dunes shares this honor with such courses as Pebble Beach in California and Kemper Lakes in Illinois. Buffalo Dunes continues to receive accolades from national golf publications.
