Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Prairie Village, Kansas, an inner-ring suburb of Kansas City, Missouri.
Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1954. Craig Schreiner was the course architect.
The greens vary in size with some being sloped. The fairways are fairly wide and tree lined. Water hazards come into play on ten holes and sand bunkers come into play on most of the holes throughout the course. The terrain is predominantly flat.
The signature hole is #12, a 231-yard, par 3, with out-of-bounds areas to the right and a creek to the left. The green is also protected by a bunker from the left and overhanging trees from the right.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6529 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,786 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 509 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 168 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 415 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 18, a 476 yard par-5.
The course closed in 2004.
The plan for 45-acres of the former course is a mixed-use development surrounded by an 84-acre county-owned park with jogging trails, a playground, open space, a community center, and other amenities
