Wamego Country Club golf course first opened for play in 1920 as a nine-hole course. The course was designed by Chick Trout. In June 2004, an additional 9-holes were officially opened for play. The expansion and new holes were designed by local architect Eric Langvardt.
The par 70, 18-hole golf course is nestled among the rolling hills of Wamego, Kansas. Wamego Country Club golf course has a traditional layout similar to those you would find throughout the Midwestern United States. Among its features are classic tree-lined fairways, slightly elevated greens are and large greenside grass bunkers.
The golf course consists of approximately 160 acres, which include 5 ponds and a winding creek. Water comes into play twice on the on the front nine on holes #3 and #5 and occasionally on hole #6. On the back nine the water comes into play on holes #10, #11, #12 and #13.
Wamego Country Club golf course plays to 6,000 yards and a par of 70. The course rating is 72.7 with a slope rating of 134.
