The Pine Valley Golf Resort golf course first opened for play in 1967. Bill Amick designed the back nine, which opened in 1986.

The Pine Valley golf course is tight and hilly with tree-lined fairways and small greens. Water hazards come into play on five holes. #2, a 622-yard, par 5, is the signature hole. #6 has a double-dogleg fairway with out-of-bounds stakes lining the left side of the fairway and a large lake guarding the front of the green.
