New Orleans Country Club first opened for play in 1914. The course was designed by George Turpie.
The course was renovated and reopened in 2003. The design work was handled by Joseph L. Lee and Robert Weed.
This is a demanding course to play. The fairways are tree lined and narrow, and the small greens are well bunkered. There are eight holes where water comes into play.
The course plays to a par-71 and a maximum distance of 6,654 yards and a minimum distance of 5,350 yards.
