Forest Park Golf Course first opened for play in 1934. Originally a 9-hole golf course, the course was redesigned and expanded to 18 holes in the early 1990's. The designe was done by Gus Hook.
Forest Park is now a combination of two styles and challenges. The original front nine winds through a wooded landscape and tests even the most skilled players with tight fairways, imposing trees and hilly terrain. The course opens up during the back nine, allowing players to make up a few shots they may have lost on the front nine. This course claimes to have the largest sand bunker on the East Coast.
Forest Park Golf Course measurses 6,127 yards from the back tees and plays to a par-71.
