Rum Pointe golf course is an 18 hole public golf course located in Berlin, Marland within minutes of Ocean City, Maryland.
Rum Pointe first opened for play in the spring of 1997. The course was designed by the father/son team of Pete & P.B.Dye.
Located on Highway 611 on the Sinepuxent Bay overlooking Assateague National Seashore Park, Mother Nature and the Dye's have combined talents to bring world-class golf to the Ocean City area. This Scottish-style links is the only area course to feature bent-grass on the fairways and greens. No less than 17 of the 18 holes have a bay view with several holes having direct bay frontage, where you can start your ball over the water to shorten the hole.
The Dyes have created situations of risk and reward that will challenge even the most experienced golfer. From the back tees this championship quality course is capable of hosting a PGA Tour stop but forgiving enough from the middle tees to satisfy golfers of all skill levels. >
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,523 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 6,523 yards. The longest hole on the course is #8, a par-5 that plays to 517 Yards. The shortest hole on the course is #2, a par-3 that plays to 153 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for #16, a 425 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is #4, a 367 yard par-4.
