Paint Branch Golf Course

Paint Branch Golf Course is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in College Park, Maryland.

Paint Branch Golf Course first opened for play in 1964.The course was designed by Ed Ault.

This nine hole course is short and well maintained. The fairways are tight, and the greens are small and medium speed.  There are three ponds and one creek that come into play on several holes. The terrain is flat and easy to walk. The signature hole is #1, a 363-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot to a fairway with water on the right side and trees on the left. This is also a very scenic hole, especially in the fall.  

The Golden Bear Golf Center, with two driving ranges and two miniature golf courses, opened in June 1997 and is adjacent to the course.

Par for the course is 31. From the back tees, the course plays to 2,035 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 1,635 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-4 that plays to 363 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 107 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 1, the 363-yard par-4 is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Paint Branch Golf Course is # 2, the 107 yard par-3.
