Detailed description

The Lakewood Country Club golf course first opened for play in 1960. The course was designed by Ed Ault and Al Jamison. The course was redesigned in 2005 by Rees Jones.

Set among gentle rolling hills with dramatic vistas, Lakewood offers the golfer the unique balance of challenging golf and beautiful settings. With mature hardwood trees, several lakes and a meandering stream, Mr. Jones was able to design a course that fits the natural terrain and is complete with his trademark bunkering and green complexes. Measuring close to 7100 yards from the championship tees, Lakewood will be a stern test for even the expert golfer. With ten par-4 holes, four par-3 holes, four par-5 holes, and five sets of tees at every hole, you can play to your handicap and skill level. Par for the course is 72.

The Lakewood Country Club golf course plays to a par-72 and a maximum distance of 7,060 yards. The course rating is 74.2 and the slope rating is 133.
