The Duxbury Yacht Club golf course first opened in 1925 as a nine hole challenge. The nine hole course was designed by Wayne Stiles. William F. Mitchell redesigned the original nine holes in 1951. Geoffrey Cornish and William G. Robinson designed the back nine, which opened in 1969.
