Edgartown Golf Club first opened for play in 1926. The course was designed by Cornelius Lee.

This course was built on rolling terrain and has difficult greens to read.  Water hazards come into play on three holes.  The signature hole is #17, a 285-yard, par 4, requiring a shot over a hollow with a view of the ocean to a long, narrow and well-bunkered green.
