Detailed description

Crystal Lake Golf Club, previously named Crystal Springs Golf Club is a semi-private golf course located in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Crystal Lake is one of the premier public golf courses in the Merrimack Valley, located only 35 minutes from downtown Boston.

Crystal Lake first opened for play in 1966. The course was designed by Geoffrey S. Cornish.

The course sits on hilly terrain. Uneven lies should be anticipated. The fairways on the front nine are narrow, while the ones on the back nine are more open. All the greens have very subtle breaks and are quite large. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on five holes. The course offers superior rolling bent grass greens, lush wide fairways, friendly rough, manicured bunkers, rolling tree-lined terrain, and a beautiful design

Crystal Lake provides golfers a fun, yet challenging round of golf that can be played in under four and half hours on weekends, where every club in your bag will be used and an incredible golf experience is guaranteed. The course is known as the best-priced course for the value in New England, their very caring staff, and their proactive membership program including a “fun” tournament event calendar.

Par for the course is 72. The women's par is 73. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,504 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,399 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 500 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 16, a par-3 that plays to 135 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 9, a 429-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Crystal Lake Golf Course is # 16, the 135 yard par-3.

Acquired by Sterling Golf Management in 2018, Crystal Lake Golf Club will continue to provide guests and members with a unique and affordable golf experience.
