Segregansett Country Club

Segregansett Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Taunton, Massachusetts.

Segregansett Country Club first opened for play in 1893.

The course is demanding because of all the water hazards that come into play from the Segregansett River. The greens are medium-sized and undulating. All outside players must have their club professional call in advance for tee times. This club has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S

In 1965, seventy acres were purchased for $50,000.00. to expand the course from 9 to 18 holes. Segregansett Country Club went to a twelve hole course, then to an eighteen hole course between the years of 1965 and 1974. Bill Robinson and Geoffrey Cornish handled the expansion design.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,632 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,657 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 529 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 167 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 4, a 414 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 18, a 471 yard par-5.>
