In 1965, seventy acres were purchased for $50,000.00. to expand the course from 9 to 18 holes. Segregansett Country Club went to a twelve hole course, then to an eighteen hole course between the years of 1965 and 1974. Bill Robinson and Geoffrey Cornish handled the expansion design.
