Chestnut Hills Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Bear Lake, Michigan.
Chestnut Hills opened in July 1993 with nine holes. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 2004. The course was designed by course owner Doug Carter.
Doug Carter holds a doctorate degree in plant physiology and international development and was a member of the Peace Corps before working for 12 years for the Foreign Service in eastern and southern Africa.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,372 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,845 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 13, a par-5 that plays to 578 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 119 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 456-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Chestnut Hills Golf Course is # 12, a 194 yard par-3.
