Clear Lake Golf Club, originally named Meceola Country Club, is a public, 18 hole golf course located in Big Rapids, Michigan.
The course first opened for play in 1918. Golf architect Jeff Gorney expanded the course to 18 holes in 1988.
The course has natural wet-lands in play on a couple of holes and water hazards (ponds) coming into play on another six holes. The undulating greens are medium-sized and have an average of two greenside bunkers. Approximately three fairways are doglegs.
#4, a 259-yard par-4, is the signature hole and requires an approach shot over water to the green
#7, a 364-yard par-4 is considered by many as the toughest on the course. The second shot is a blind shot into the bowl.
#10, a 309-yard par-4, wraps around the northeast corner of Clear Lake providing a beautiful view.
Championship tees: par-72, 6,455 yards
Middle tees: par-72, 6,107 yards
Ladies tees: par-72, 5,527 yards
