Scott Lake Golf & Practice Center is a Public, 27 hole golf course located in Comstock Park, Michigan.
The course opened for play in 1967. Bruce Matthews designed the course. A third nine was added in 1998. Jeff Gorney designed this nine.
With the 1998 addition of a third nine, the course can be played in three different eighteen-hole combinations. The new holes, called the South Course, feature more elevated tees and more undulation in the greens. It's a more modern design, with some forced carries on particular holes.
The original West/East Course was built on rolling terrain and featured mature trees lining its narrow fairways. The large greens are slightly less undulating and have medium speed, and some of the tee boxes and greens are elevated.
The signature hole is #8 on the West Course. This 543-yard, uphill par 5 features a dogleg left fairway and requires an approach shot to one of the smallest elevated greens on the course.
