Red Hawk Golf Club first opened for play in 1999. The course was designed by Arthur Hills.
The Red Hawk Golf Club course was carved out of a forest, while fitting the holes precisely onto the natural forms of the land. The second hole is one of the most visually exciting holes at Red Hawk. At 292 yards the hole is short enough, but with seven bunkers guarding the landing area and green, perfect shot placement will be imperative.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,589 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 4,885 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 580 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 166 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 7, the 580 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Red Hawk is #17, the 166 yard par-3.
