Detailed description

The Natural At Beaver Creek Resort is a Public, 18-hole golf course located in Gaylord, Michigan.

The Natural at Beaver Creek Resort first opened for play in 1992. The course was designed by Jerry Mathews. No folks, it was Jerry Mathers who played The Beaver on -Leave it to Beaver-, but it did sound kind of ironic for a second.

The course takes advantage of rolling hills and scenic wetlands. The challenging layout offers great play for both the weekend and the scratch golfer. We are sure you will enjoy your golfing experience again and again.

Next door is Beaver Creek Resort, which offers high-quality family recreation, lodging, and RV sites.

The Natural offers great play for both the weekend and scratch golfers. The course is designed so golfers of different levels of ability can enjoy an exciting challenge amidst beautiful stands of oak, maple, birch, and pine. We are sure you will enjoy your golfing experience again and again. The challenging and visually exciting layout is accented with outstanding north-wood scenery and complemented by exceptional getaway packages. Among many other notable features at The Natural are large, undulating greens, oversized bent grass tees, practice putting green, double-row irrigation, watered roughs, strategically-placed sand traps, and manicured, tree-lined fairways.

This 6,355-yard course has a par of 71 for men & women.

#1 is a par five, 495-yard hole, that features a deep green tucked into the woods, protected by a large bunker.

The par threes are short and tough with bunkers, 40-foot dropoffs, and 100-foot elevated tees.

#2 and #7 tees are short but tight, par four holes.

#2 has a 40-foot drop-off behind the green; if you're not accurate, you'll be playing out of one of the three bunkers.

#7 is a birdie hole, playing to only 310 yards.

#16 is a true "grip it and rip it" par-five. Get your birdie here because the 18th looms only two holes away.

#18, the "Monster 18" is a 455-yard par four. It is the most difficult hole at The Natural. It plays downhill and is a tight dogleg left, requiring a good drive. The next shot is a long carry-over wetland to an elevated green.

Blue tees: par-71, 6355 yards, course rating 69.2, slope rating 128.

White tees: par-71, 5,865 yards, course rating 67.3, slope rating 123.
