Gracewil Country Club is a Public, 36 hole golf Facility located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The facility has two 18 hole golf courses, They are The East Course and The West Course.
The course was established in 1929 when the first nine was cut through the Wilson family fruit and dairy farm. As the number of golfers grew so did the course. The final of the four nines was completed in 1974. The nines are paired and play has two 18 hole courses, The East Course and The West Course.
Both courses were carved from an Apple Orchard. The courses have many other similarities. The greens are large, and the fairways are wide open and rolling. Water hazards (a pond and a creek) come into play on both courses.
The East Course
The signature hole on the East Course is #4, a 340-yard, par 4, requiring a second shot over the creek to the green.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees. the course plays to 6,180 yards. From the forward tees. the course measures 5,025 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 485 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 120 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 405-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Gracewil Country Club, East Course is # 15, the 120 yard par-3.
