Currie Golf Course is a Public, 36 hole golf facility located in Midland, Michigan. The facility has an 18-hole course, The West Course, a 9-hole course, The East Course, and a 9-hole par-3 course, The Par-3 Course.
The Currie West course dates to 1960 when it first opened with 9-holes. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 2002. Designed by Michigan golf course architect, Jerry Mathews, the course features a complete redesign of the original 9-hole layout and a new front nine carved out of the naturally wooded landscape between M-20 and the Tittabawassee River.
The fairways are mostly flat, but some hills can cause uneven lies. A couple of ponds coming into play on three holes. The undulating greens are the most challenging part of this course.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,056 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,050 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 591 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 159 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 16, a 534-yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Currie West Golf Course is # 7, the 159 yard par-3.
