Monroe Golf & Country Club

Monroe Golf & Country Club is a semi-private, 18-hole golf course located in Monroe, Michigan.

This Donald Ross-designed course first opened for play in 1919.

This course is a true Donald Ross Design, where the greens are quite fast and the rough is long.  The fairways are cut short and are not wide, extremely tight with sharp doglegs, and are tree-lined.  There is some water that comes into play.  The signature holes are #5 and #6.  The terrain is semi-rolling and the par 3 greens are well protected, with high mounds.  

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,400 yards. From the forward (ladies) tees, the course measures 5,517 yards and is a par-74. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 565 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 167 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 7, a 409-yard par-4 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Monroe Golf Course is # 16, a 176-yard par-3.
