Walloon Lake Golf Course opened for play in 1904. The back nine came much later and was designed by Jerry Matthews.
Walloon Lake Golf Course was built on rolling terrain and has tree-lined fairways. There is an excellent view of Lake Walloon from a couple of the tee boxes and greens. The well-bunkered greens vary in just about every way: size, shape, elevation, speed and undulation. There are two ponds that come into play on three holes.
The Walloon Lake Country Club Golf Course is a par-72 layout that measures 6,494 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 129 and a 71.1 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
