St. Ignace Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1926
The picturesque St. Ignace Golf and Country Club overlooks the Straits of Mackinac and the Mackinac Bridge. The view is arguably one of the most beautiful in all of Michigan. This nine hole public course is a par 36, featuring three par 5s, three par 4s, and three par 3s. The fairways are wide but lined with trees. Water hazards (a creek) come into play on only two holes. In addition, numerous sand bunkers have been positioned throughout the course. All the greens break toward the Straits of Mackinac.
The greens are considered the course's most challenging aspect. The total yardage is 2,937 yards from the white tees and 2,602 yards from the red tees.
