Northland Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Duluth, Minnesota.
Northland Country Club first opened for play in 1899. Ward Ames Jr. designed the original 9-hole course which was expanded to 18 holes in 1912. When Northland acquired additional in 1921, Donald Ross was hired to lay out a completely new course. It was finished in 1927, and, with a few modifications, is the same course played today.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,785 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,896 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 561 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 150 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 376 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 17, a 175 yard par-3.
