Afton Alps Golf Course first opened for play in 1989. The course was designed by Paul Augustine.
The Afton Alps golf course has scenic views of the St. Croix River Valley. The course was built on hilly terrain, so you can expect many uneven lies. The course is part of a resort that offers sking and golf in their respective seasons. The greens are large, and the narrow fairways are tree lined. In addition, water hazards come into play on several holes and numerous sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design. Hole #10, a 348-yard, par 4, has a creek that bisects the fairway.
The Afton Alps Golf Course plays to a par-72 and a maximum distance of 5,813 yards. The course rating is 68.3 with a slope rating of 112.
